Aftercare

Just had your relaxing treatment - not sure how to go about aftercare?

Don't worry, we got you!

Nail Aftercare

Don't pick it

Habits are hard to break - completely understand but please do try to avoid picking at the nail product / your nails.

This continuous action will lift the product more and more which then creates a pocket that water can get trapped in leading to fungus and or bacteria (greenies) to grow.

Avoid  excessive exposure to water

Constant hand washing or soaking dries your hands out including your nails which causes your nails to curve away from the nail product causing lifting.

Lifted nails create a pocket that water can get trapped in leading to fungus and or bacteria (greenies) to grow.

Jewels not tools

Most common cause of lifting is continuous pressure/ use of nails. Lifting rarely happens from one of movement unless it is severe like trapping your nail in a door.

Be gentle, use a tool not your nails.

Use cuticle oil

Ideally once a day, apply cuticle oil.

This promotes strong, healthy skin and nail growth as well as keeping the nails from curling away from the product due to dryness.

Regular maintenace

Booking regular infills is key for maintaining the health of your nails.

BIAB manicure - every 3 weeks

Extensions - every 3/4 weeks

Overgrown nails are dangerous due to the weight of the product shifting to the tip of the nails as the nail grows causing more pressure and an increased risk of injury and breakage.

Wear gloves for chores

Harsh chemicals like cleaning products can start to breakdown the bond of the nail product on your nails causing lifting.

Don't glue it back

In an unfortunate case of one of your nails coming off, please do not glue it back on. Pockets of air can be very easily be trapped between your nails and the product that moisture can get trapped in leading to fungus and or bacteria (greenies) to grow.
